Engine & transmission repair
Timing belts, cylinder heads, engine and transmission replacement, clutches, transfer cases and 4WD, on cars, light trucks and diesels.

Overview
Engine and transmission work is where an honest diagnosis matters most. We find the cause first, explain what failed and why, and give you a straight estimate before the repair starts.
Some problems turn out to be a sensor, a leak or a fluid service. Others need a major repair or a replacement engine or transmission. Either way you hear the options and the cost up front, and you decide what makes sense for the vehicle.

Common questions
The manufacturer sets an interval in miles and years, and it is in your owner's manual. On many engines a broken belt causes serious internal damage, so it is worth replacing on schedule. We can look up the interval for your vehicle.
Sometimes yes, sometimes no. We give you the repair cost next to an honest read on the rest of the vehicle, so you can decide whether the repair makes sense for you.
Automatic transmissions are often serviced every 60,000 to 100,000 miles and manual transmissions every 30,000 to 60,000. Check your owner's manual for your vehicle.
